Family Promise Fights Homelessness... One Family at a Time!
Family Promise of Grays Harbor, an independent affiliate of Family Promise, is a volunteer driven organization that unites the interfaith community and local resources to help homeless children and their families get back on their feet. We work closely with our guests to help them achieve long-term, sustainable independence.
Our core programs offer a way for our community to address the challenge of family homelessness by using existing resources. Not only does this make the program cost efficient, it makes it effective. Family Promise is not just about getting families into housing, but addressing all the underlying issues and using existing community resources to support them in staying permanently housed.
Currently, there are over 200 independent Family Promise affiliates in communities across the country. These highly successful programs have involved thousands of churches, volunteers, and guests. 85% of families who participate in Family Promise of Grays Harbor's programs are able to secure permanent housing.
